I got this at my library the same I got the book because I was prepared. Going into this I knew I was going to cry but you know it happened and I think I cried more watching the movie than reading the book. It was mostly because seeing Lou's face throughout the movie just got to me.

Plot and Thoughts:

I loved seeing Lou's outfits because they were so cute and quirky and she didn't really give a shit if her family or anyone criticized her clothes.

The actress who played Lou was so accurate to how I pictured her and really resembled how she acted in the book. Lou was so sweet and almost naive at 26 years old and it was kind of refreshing. Lou was just a really cute human being and I appreciated her more in the movie, and now I want a friend like Lou. I felt so connected to Lou's family, and I loved their part in the story.

My first thought when I saw Patrick was: "OMG, is that Neville Longbottom?". AND IT TURNS OUT IT IS THE GUY WHO PLAYS NEVILLE. But it kinda sucked that Patrick was a shitty person and a try-hard when it came to athletics and fitness (but made it so everyone knew how fit he was). I did find him a bit unbearable at times as well.

I also wanted to note that I related to Lou's hatred of doing anything athletic.

I loved Will's character just as much as I liked him in the book. Sam Claflin did an amazing job playing his sarcastic demeanor. Will starting to like Lou was so precious to see on screen and I loved how we see Will slowly starting to show a hint of interest in actually speaking to her.

My favorite scenes were the concert and the wedding. It was so nice seeing them together and being so happy, and at times just being each other's presence. My heart actually melted at them dancing at the wedding and that was the first time I cried during the movie. I sobbed from their holiday to the very end.

You could also see how they cared for one another so much. Will was so happy to see Lou happy and trying new things out of her comfort zone. He cared so much for her and she didn't see that until the end and I loved seeing their conversations between one another it was beautiful.

Accuracy to Book:

There were minor things that they left out (probably due to not having a 3 hour movie). One of them was completely cutting Will's sister, Georgina, out of the movie. Other than a few small things, it was pretty accurate to the book!

I give this movie a 8/10 stars.
