Goodreads Book Tag
I saw this tag on The Immortal Read's Blog so go and check it out!
1. What was the last book you marked as 'read'?
I just finished Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and I'm still not over how much it crushed my entire being.
2. What are you currently reading?
Well, I just got Friday Night Lights by H.G. Bissinger and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathon Safran Foer at the library. I started both of them but I am so excited for leaving for vacation in 3 days that I can't get into them, but I will for sure pick them up when I get back or next month. So the next days I'm taking a break and not reading because I just can't focus on anything but a TV Show/Youtube. I will defintely be reading on vacation though and I am scheduling my uploads so you will probably be seeing this while I'm at the lake!
3. What was the last book you marked as 'to read'?
Into the Forest by Jean Hegland. I saw that this was a movie and it sounded really interesting!
4. What book to plan to read next?
As soon as I get to the lake I'm going to pick up Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson. I was going through my bookshelves for contemporaries, since that's what I read on vacation (it's the easiest), and I read the synopsis and I saw it takes place at a lake so I really want to get to this!
5. Do you use the star rating system?
Yes, and I always will.
6. Are you doing a 2017 reading challenge?
Yes! My goal this year is to read 50 books by the end of the year, and I've read 44 books, which makes me 17 books ahead so I'm really proud of myself!
7. Do you have a wishlist?
I actually don't but now that I think about it I should really make one irl on paper. I might make one on there but I'll check it out!
8. What book do you plan to buy next?
I need to get the correct edition of City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare because I'm terrible at getting the right editions that correspond to the rest of the series. I also need to keep on collecting Rick Riordan's books till I have all of them. I also want to get Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor.
9. Do you any favorite quotes, would you like to share a few?
I write down any quote that I just really love. Here are some of my favorite:
"That's always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people would want to be around someone because they're pretty. It's like picking your breakfast cereals based on color instead of taste."
-Paper Towns, John Green
"We accept the love we think we deserve."
-Perks of Being a Wallflower, Stephen Chbosky
"No guy in his right mind would ever choose me when there are people like Hana in the world: It would be like settling for a stale cookie when what you really want is a big bowl of ice cream, whipped cream and cherries and chocolate sprinkles included."
-Delirium, Lauren Oliver
"What is it about this crappy music that makes anyone even bother to lift a foot? It sounds like it was spit out by the atomic vampire's de-soul-inator machine."
-The Spectacular Now, by Tim Tharp
"Everything looks so stupidly, happily normal: everyone just wasting time because they have to so much of it to waste, minutes slipping by on who's with who and did you hear?"
-Before I Fall, Lauren Oliver
"Because I'm an artist, Emma. These pictures are my heart. And if my heart was a canvas, every square inch of it would be painted over with you."
-Lady Midnight, Cassandra Clare
10. Who are your favorite authors?
I like a lot of authors, to name a few: Cassandra Clare, John Green, Rick Riordan, Nicholas Sparks
11. Have you joined any groups?
No, I got so many emails that I got fed up and left the ones I was in.
12. How many shelves do you have on Goodreads?
The standard four plus a 2016, 2017, favorite books, and favorite series shelves
